Final Nederland Saws & Slaws Event – Sawyers Only

Nederland Saws and Slaws will hold its final event of the season at the Nederland water treatment plant on Sunday Oct 26th from 8am-12pm, This is a sawyer only event – we will be focusing on just dropping trees — the town will take care of removing the slash at a later date. If you have taken the homeowners saw safety class — please consider joining us – we will pair you with more experienced sawyers for some one-on-one training time covering saw safety, situational awareness, and more advanced felling techniques. For those of you who would like to start using the saw – we will be running an entry level saw class at the beginning of the next season in the spring.

We are also putting together a barbecue for folks attending the event. If you are interested in helping out planning and preparing the meal – please let us know!

We would also like to thank everyone for all the great work we accomplished this past season. We will send out an email with all the stats later – but this is definitely our largest year in terms of volunteer hours and what we accomplished. We have received amazing support from the the town, the county, and most importantly – the community!!
