Jeffco sponsored slash collection weekend.

Hey, Community Activists! Please join us on Sunday, October 2 for our first of two October 2016 Saws & Slaws events in Coal Creek Canyon! We will be working on Skyline Drive and Lyttle Dowdle on three properties. Bring your chainsaw, your gloves, your muscles to haul slash, your sense of humor, and a dish to share. This is a Boulder County-funded curbside chipping event in the Crescent Park community. Almost all of the available time slots are taken. Please let us know if you have any slash you'd like to have chipped just in case we can fit it in. Contact us. Sign up to volunteer!

Join us for a Buck & Truck event. If interested, please contact Linda. We'll be sawing up logs to manageable sizes, loading, and delivering. Don't worry if you don't sling a chainsaw, we can definitely use your help in loading the truck!

This quality, hands-on training will give you the skills you need to effectively and safely use a chainsaw for forest health and property maintenance. Training will be presented in three parts: - Chainsaw Maintenance – cutting safely requires a well running saw. - Chainsaw Safety & Personal Protective Equipment - including things to watch out for while cutting. - Tree Felling & Cutting Skills – classroom review followed by field exercises. Presented by: Eric Philips, Wildfire Mitigation Specialist, Rocky Mountain Resource Protection and Eric Folwell, Wildfire Mitigation Specialist, Rocky Mountain Resource Protection NWCG ENGB and Forestry Consultant to Boulder County Participants, please bring: - your lunch and plenty of water - your own gear, chain saw, helmet, gloves, ear and eye protection, chaps. Wear long sleeves, pants, and boots. Space is limited. The winds have taken their toll!! Please mark your calendars, sign up by clicking the below link, and get ready for some serious fun on Saturday, May 13, 2017, as we feed slash from many properties into chippers in the Indian Peak Rd. neighborhood! We need your help! Sawyers, Swampers, and Eaters of fine foods! Bring your gloves, water, your muscles to haul slash, your sense of humor, and a dish to share. We will plan to meet at 7:45AM, MST, at 200 Indian Peak Rd, Golden, CO 80403 for sign in, safety briefing, and job assignments. The event will start approximately at 8AM and run until approximately noon. After we finish our work, we will celebrate our accomplishments with a potluck meal. This is truly a time to get to relax, recharge after working, have fun, and rejoice in the good work we've done! Questions on this event?
