Facing January, here in 2019, Saws and Slaws is reflecting on the year that has past, and planning the year ahead. We are extremely grateful to ALL of our volunteers and to the community for their support. In 2018, our volunteers worked a total of 642 hours in the 642!! There’s no feeling in the world like sharing great exercise, great food, great fun, and great neighbors. There are no other communities like ours!
In 2019, we had 57 different volunteers, averaged 20 volunteers at our main events, and averaged 10 volunteers over all of our events, including the firewood project work.
Volunteers make it possible for us to do the work that we do. When you help us keep the canyon healthy, you are volunteering to do work that is so important to this community, the homeowners, the fire fighters, and our neighbors. I’ve said it before a million times, but, literally, we could not do it without you!! You are modern mountain heroes, and we can’t thank you enough!
Our supporters are also particularly appreciated. Please remember Saws and Slaws is a 501(c)3 organization when considering your charitable donations in 2019. You can easily contribute directly from our site at sawsandslaws.org. Also, please find us on smile.amazon.com, to effortlessly generate funds while ordering those Amazon items. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases. Lastly, Saws & Slaws is enrolled in H&R Block Advisors’ Nonprofit Referral Program. For all new H&R Block clients who file their taxes with Block Advisors, $20 will be donated to our organization. Please print a flyer to take with you at http://sawsandslaws.org/educational/ near the bottom.
Thank you to everyone, and we look forward to working with you again this year!!
